All Young Eagles events are postponed until further notice. EAA chapter meeting will be held virtually.

These are challenging times. Flying ‘solo’ is a great way to adhere to social separation guidelines, while boosting your morale and the local economy. We can assure your social separation when you land. Enjoy our recently paved airport, turf cross-wind runway and ultra-low fuel prices and, most of all, be safe. We’ll get through this!

Paving the runway safety area (overrun) was EASY.  It brought the landing roll-out length of runway 21 to 3,125′. Getting the FAA to update their charts and facility directory is HARD. In the (hopefully) not-too-distant future the charts will reflect our new paved length of 3,125′. In the meantime, trees and brush are being removed on the approach end of runway 3. Come check it out soon!

Our solar-powered taxiway lights have survived their first year in service and their first winter without any damage.  Thanks to Jared Bilancieri for raising them up by 15″, putting them above the snow all the time.  No shoveling needed.  They make us look like “Down Town!”  Thanks to MassDOT Aeronautics Division for funding 80% of the cost and to Senator Jamie Eldridge and Representative Kate Hogan for their ongoing support as we pursue our mission of Boosting the Economy, Serving the Community, and Nurturing the Environment – since 1969!”

Minute Man’s annual Open House and 3rd Annual Run the Runway 5K and Fun Run will be held on Saturday, May 2nd.  Bring family and friends, have breakfast or lunch, watch or run the race and check out all things aviation!  Our tenants will open their doors for you to see what they do here.  Our based pilots will open their hangars and tell you how they got interested in flying and what they use their airplanes for.  All proceeds will be donated to the Boxborough and Stow Conservation Trusts, as they share our interest in preserving open space.  Register here for the race.   Watch for NOTAMS closing the airport for the race.  Celebrate Spring and the joy of flying with us!

New 6B6 hats ($30) and bumper stickers (free!) have arrived in the Ops office.  Stop in any day between 9-4 to get yours, or see us at our table at the ACONE event on Wednesdsay, March 11th (cash or check only at the event, please).  Show your love for Minute Man with our swag!
